Classifications
Fill in missing COBie classifications.
When a Type, Space, or the Facility has no Category, AI Review suggests a code from your project's OmniClass or Uniclass catalog and explains the choice. Approve the ones you agree with in a click.
In short
What is the COBie Category?
Every Facility, Space, and Type in a COBie workbook carries a Category: a classification code and title, such as 13-55 11 Office Spaces in OmniClass. Owners use it to group and find assets after handover. BIMRelay fills Category from the model where it can, and AI Review suggests a code for each row still missing one.
Codes from your project's catalog
Suggestions come from the full catalog of the classification system your project uses. With OmniClass, Types get Table 23 product codes, Spaces get Table 13 space codes, and the Facility gets a Table 11 code. With Uniclass, they get Pr, SL, and En codes.
AI Review works from what each row's names and descriptions mean, including ones written in other languages, and holds back when the model gives too little to go on.
Approve in one click
Each suggestion shows the code, its title, a short reason, and a link to the row. Approve fills just that Category cell, and Dismiss leaves it as it is. Categories already in your workbook, and blanks you chose deliberately, are never replaced.
Tidy codes the model got almost right
Models often carry codes written with dots or other separators, like 23.75.70.21.27.11 instead of 23-75 70 21 27 11. AI Review suggests the standard spelling, so every Category reads the same way.
Questions
Frequently asked questions
- Which classification systems are supported?
- OmniClass and Uniclass. Suggestions use the system your project is set to.
- Which rows get suggestions?
- Types, Spaces, and the Facility whose Category is blank.
- Will it replace categories we already have?
- No. Existing categories are left alone. The one exception is a code the model wrote in a nonstandard format, where AI Review suggests the standard spelling for you to approve.
- Can it read models described in other languages?
- Yes. It works from what names and descriptions mean, so models described in other languages still get suggestions.
- Does it make up codes?
- No. Every suggestion comes from the project's OmniClass or Uniclass catalog.
